How long u can have sex with an HIV infected using condom and get no infection?

How long u can have sex with an HIV infected using condom and get no infection?

Safe sex practices are about 90% effective. The key is to make sure you use high quality, new, properly stored condoms. Make sure the fit is correct for his penis length and girth. Do not "double bag" with two condoms, this increases the risk. Adding a lubricant with a spermicidal (used to be non-oxynal 9) may further reduce the risk.

There are no 100% guarantees. You should be tested every 6 months to determine if you have been infected. You sound as if you have made a choice based on informed consent. This is good, but remember the risk is always there. I know, I became positive while using safe sex practices.

Todd (AIDS - positive since 2004)

well if you use a condom you should be relatively safe unless the condom breaks.............................

That is playing Russian Roulette!!

you shpuld be fine, but just makes sure its a new condom and that it dosnt break or come off. be VERY careful. you can have sex as much as you want though. xxxxxxxxxx

This is a really dicey question that depends on so many factors, like whether or not the condom breaks/tears, or whether your partner is taking antiviral medication to recuce their viral load. All things considered though, you are really playing a game of Russian roulette.

Just be very very careful when using a condom. Buy good ones, not cheap ones... i mean, you dont want to risk getting HIV, right?

Until the condom doesn't slit. You need to be really careful.....it only takes one accident.

Viruses which is what HIV is can cross condoms (though the chances a low). It could happen the first time or the 100th time - there is no guarantee.

If your sexual partner has a low viral load (either the infection is very recent and he/she's well or he/she's receiving effective treatment) even without condom the chances of infection with each intercourse are only 1-2% ,so with proper condom use, they are minimal...so don't panick, and keep enjoying
