If blood work is normal, white/red cells good, does that mean no infection at all, (diabeties, HepA B C, HIV)? |
Just had blood work due to lightheadedness, was told increase in anxiety issues (attacks), also have mitral valve prolapse, blood pressure 100/60. Noticed that the doctor said blood work was perfectly fine, but didn't think to check thyroid, diabetes, HepABC, HIV or even urine sample to see if that causes the feelings of lightheadedness or blackouts. Just wondering if that's because there were nothing wrong with the white blood cells and red blood cells. Only happens when I sit too long or stand too long or in crowds sometimes. My husband seems to think it's my MVP, leaking valve causing low blood flow. Please help! I am feeling sorry to write that you are facing symptoms of MVP, and you should not worry about other tests. To all others who gave answrs, thank u vry much! Stress lvl down. Was concrnd bout salt intake due to ankle swelling, may be MVP related. Will ask bout the "tilt" test. Thanks again to all! There is another important question to ask....please look for my question soon. Report It Sure I have replied you about the questions to ask your cardiologist on the above subject. Report It eat salty food to increase blood pressure I don't know about the others, but I know that HIV testing isn't part of a routine blook screen and that diabetes can't be positively determined or ruled out with a regular blood test. However, your blood sugar must have been normal or they would have wanted additional testing. I'm willing to bet that the lightheadedness is from anxiety. Maybe you are so freaked out over having heart problems that you are unconsciously causing yourself to feel dizzy. I used to have extreme anxiety and Iwould feel dizzy, then I would start thinking "Oh my God, I'm going to faint, I'm going to have a heart attack!!" I would get myself in this big tizzy over nothing. Just try to take care of yourself, and if you are worried about AIDS etc ask the dr to check these things. I would think that if you had one of those diseases something would show up in your blood work. Two other things to consider. One is that you are needing to increase you salt intake. You might also consider having a tilt test. (you are placed on a table and rotated, while your blood pressure is monitored) |
