Can you get hiv or some infection from a blade left for days on top of a vending machine? |
I sliced my thumb by placing my hand on top of this vending machine. on it ,was a machine blade with gum stuck to it. It was dusty and I little rusted should I worry? my thumb is fine now but it bled alot and it still hurts a bit. I washed it for 2 minutes with blood still spilling out of it and I did have my tetanus shot already. It looks like a purple line now as if I tried to peel of my thumb print. those bastards how could somebody do that to leave a blade on top of a vending machine? Well, as most people have told you already, see a Dr. to prevent infection and get a tetanus shot to prevent infection from the rusted blade. Especially if it's been awhile since you've had a tetanus shot. I would see a docter. Plus if it was rusted maybe get a shot Man! The best thing you can do is get a test, better safe than sorry! Good Luck! You should get tested. It will make you feel better to know the truth instead of getting opinions. HIV is transmitted by blood to blood! U should know that. This question sounds like the only thing you are suffering from is lack of attention. You should definately have it checked out by a doctor and even get a tetnis shot if thats needed. You cant risk your health these days, especially when someone is thoughtful enough to bubble gum a blade ontop of a vending machine. You should definately look into a tetnis shot if you havent already. Hope all is well! Hopefully u went to the doc right??? Tetinus shot!!! Oxygen kills most viruses but i would most deff get it checked by a pro. You could get tetanus (lockjaw). Did you wash it out real good? If it's swollen, hot to the touch, and there is obvious inflammation, I'd get down to the Dr. just to make sure. They will probably give you a tetanus shot if you haven't had one in a while. Hepatitis lives for YEARS!!! Get TESTED every so often for the next several years.Better safe than sorry! Technically yes, it would be extremely unlikely though. Someone with HIV would have had to of cut themselves on the blade before you, and even then the chance of it transferring to you would be pretty minimal. I would definitely make sure your tetanus shot is updated. Sounds like a great place for bacteria to hang out. How long since you've had a tetanus shot? Wouldn't be a bad idea, if it's been awhile. I think they are good for 10 years? Go to the doc and get checked. It's probably also a good idea to get a tetanus shot. Why did you put your hand on top of the vending machine ??? Looking for money ??? You can get a test done. I recommend it. But the HIV virus doesn't live more than 48 hours outside of a human host. |
