Why do you think many people are uninformed about HIV infection and AIDS? |
Why do you think many people are uninformed about HIV infection and AIDS? the main reason i think is that those who have it,should come forward to tell how it is transmitted or how to protect urself from it. many are informed they just choose not to take heed. also many areas in poor countries do not have the resources that many affluent countries do. Because it hasn't yet directly affected their life. Because, for the most part, people are idiots. I mean, come on...ask any idiot on the street to point out Iraq on a map of the world....or ask him/her who was president of the USA when we dropped the Atom Bomb. i don't know, you would think everyone knew about it, since so many people have it nowadays. People are naturally in denial when it comes to these sort of situations. Having sex for the first time can put the notion of, "I'm new to this, I've never done it before, I can't get an STD." That maybe true, but their partner might have been sexually active before them. I'm not sure, but there is much information that seems to have been held out of the public eye. They might information for people that they trust and it could be misinformation. A lot of people have received information years ago and have never had any updated information. Even those of us that teach people about the infection, how people contract HIV and new medical information don't keep on educating ourselves. People working in the field need years updates and need to weekly read the newest information available to them. |
