HIV infection is considered a public disease?

anyone can get it so yes

HIV is hitting epidemic proportions in many parts of the world. It spread is largly influenced by behavior. It is passed through sexual contact and sharing hypodermic needles. In a Western culture of casual sex, yes it is a public disease. HIV can spread very rapidly among a circle of friends.
