If I got an HIV infection on purpose would you consider that suicide?

You'd be surprised how hard it is to get an HIV infeciton when you're looking for one. If I succeded, would you consider it suicide?

Thanks for your answers, but I didn't ask if it was stupid or not. I asked if you'd consider it suicide. I would let it go, untreated. I'm fully aware of the effects of HIV.

I think you are confusing it with AIDS. But in today's society (outside of Africa of course), AIDS is not seen as a death sentence.

So no, I would consider you very foolish, but I would not consider it a suicide attempt.

No one could say it is a suicide. Maybe an attempted suicide, but you could live years and they could develop a cure and fix you.

(They have found a vaccine, but because the AIDS/HIV campaigns make so much money, the ones who developed the vaccine have been hushed).

I think that would be, yes. I see suicide as wanting to die so if you're actually looking foward on catching the infection with having full knowledge of it, it shoudn't be any different than attempting on a different method of ending yourself. But seriously, good question!

your immune system will no longer work, so you can't fight off germs or sickness

& what about your sex life?

& if you don't plan on telling them you do.... what do you think will happen when they find out you have it & knowing they may have gotten it?

While many people may disagree, I would not consider it suicide. If you intentionally contract the HIV virus, you will likely shorten your life, but many things we do shorten our lives, like smoking, eating junk food, not exercising, etc. The fact is, drug cocktails given to people with HIV are fairly good and may delay the onset of AIDS for decades. Given this, it is likely you will die from something else (car accident, choking, murder) before the HIV virus has a chance to do its job.

Have you every seen anyone die from the slow, hellish, agonizing death from HIV??? I have....and believe me, it is the most cruel way to go. The person that I watched die from this, would of given anything in his life not to of gone this way.
There was nothing even the slightest bit pretty from this death.
I think you should go take a look at people dying from HIV..and have a little wake up call. Go talk to someone who has lost a loved one from this cruel killer, and maybe you would realize how very fortunate you are to be healthy.
Seriously.. you need to see firsthand the devastating effects of HIV. I guarantee you...you would hate yourself for what
you did to yourself...but it would be too late to ever go back.

yes i would think so . if you want to catch this find a person who has tested postive and have intercorase with them that way you be postive with out trying to get blood from a person. but if you give this to a person knowing you are postive and dont let them know you are .hiv. it is a felony in all states by law. . my opion is based on fact. www.cdc. com.. ???

Its suicide. Plain and simple. Whats wrong that you feel there is no way out? What about all those people who have it, and would sell their soul for a chance at being HIV negative?
