Blood and HIV Infection...?

Hey guys have a quick question for you. I recently went and had my car detailed, with the cloth seats getting shampooed and steamed, when I noticed that an employee who was working in the interior was bleeding from the lip a little bit. Another had a scrap on his elbow. It looked like it could have been bleeding a little bit too. They were climbing around vacuuming and washing the upholstery.

Here is my question and concern. If they got any blood in my car, especially the wet cloth, and that blood was HIV positive, and let's asssume it was for the sake of argument, is it possible for the HIV virus to live in the wet cloth?

They gave me my car back and the seats were still pretty wet, and after placing a plastic sheet over my driver's seat the told me to run the heater for about 20 minutes and park in the sun. I now feel like my car might have blood in it, HIV and Hep C + blood in it no less.

Please help, I am freaking out!

Thanks

Hey Bob! Why don't you buy that uber uv light that I sent you the link to and you can check and see if any of that blood got on your car? Then you would know for sure if blood or any other body fluids are present in your car.
I think a bubble boy suit would be your best solution as well as some Prozac to help with all the freaking out that you do! I am sure a good therapist can prescribe some.
The answer, as you know by now, is, as ALWAYS no!

Paranoia

you're worrying for no reason. a very small percentage of the population has aids/hiv, and it is a very weak virus that doesn't survive outside the body. and it would have to enter you through an open cut/mucous membrane. same with hep C.

quit freaking out..ur gonna be fine...all germs die with 72 (max) hours when they r dry

Wow, don't worry about it, but yeah if it does happen to have blood in the cloth I think it can be HIVish..

Hahah sorry it's late at night, I can't word my sentences right now.

Hey, not to be too worry. I was working in a medical lab b4, as I know, one will be infected to HIV if he/she is engaged in unsafe sex life, transfused unscreened blood and/or pricked by an infected needles.
