Success rate of HIV transferal from sexual intercourse? |
I was curious to find out what the percentage transferal rate of HIV was from straight sexual intercourse (Unprotect of course). Oh yeah, incase it wasn't clear. I meant from just a single session, not over months between a couple. I don't have exact percentages for you, but I can tell you that you are correct in saying that it is not transmitted 100% of the time. Also, among all forms of sexual intercourse, unprotected anal sex has the highest rate of transmission of HIV, unprotected oral sex has the lowest rate of transmission, and HIV is most commonly transmitted from men to women or from men to other men, but it CAN be transmitted from women to men.
