I recently found out that my brother (who is 23) was infected with HIV from his wife,what do I do?

He told my dad two weeks ago that he was infected, and they have been dating for 2 years and married for 1 1/2. She didn't tell him because she wanted a child. She left him when he found out that she had given HIV it to him. We are now trying to locate him being that she won't give us any information on where he is. All I know is that he lives in Kentucky. I have called the local police departments, and haven't received any help. Is there anything else that I could do to find out where he is. I need as much information as I can get, so I can go and visit my brother. Please help

Unfortunately, I don't have any suggestions about locating your brother, other than starting with where he called from 2 weeks ago, but I can say that your brother should press charges against his wife if he did get HIV from her. It is illegal for someone who knows she/he has HIV to have unprotected sex with someone else before telling them about the infection. (You could even call police or your local Health Dept. and report the info.)


Does your brother have a cell phone? If so, you could try calling it.

What a horrible woman. Depending on how he contacted you guys you can contact him back on that, or drive down to the town he is supposed to be in in kentucky.
