Can STD's/HIV be contracted through hair waxing?

Yesterday, i had my eyebrows waxed at a local nail shop. i"ve been going there for about 2 years but i was thinking about what is the risk for contracting like HIV from waxing? I mean my eyebrows are always sensitive after wards and when i come home i usually rub some alcohol and neosporin on the skin to soothe it. Then i noticed there were 2 pin-prick spots of blood, like an open pore or skin from the waxing. I'm totally freaking out because what if the tweezers she used on me were not sterile or the wax wasn't either? i was the last person of the day too! I'm very concerned and scared, i'm thinking about calling my doctor! Does anyone have any information? Thanks.

Hmmm...
Probably not.
Considering the fact that you were getting your eyebrows done and there were spots of blood, I guess you were be a bit concerned,
But, when the virus hits the air, it can only exsist there for a certain amount of time.
Like about thirty seconds I believe.
I highly doubt it....
But if you are truly concerned about it,
It can't hurt to get tested.

CALM DOWN..... The only way that it would even happen is if she stabbed everyone with the tweazer which she is probably not doing. And by the way rubbing alcohol on your eyebrows is going to make your skin sensitive and hurt don't do that.

I do all of my waxing at home, takes some practice but is worth it. I know this did not answer your question, it did provide you a solution though.

i have honestly never heard of getting hiv through waxing
i assume because you bleed after the fact, your open skin wasn't in contact anyways
i also dom't know why hiv would be in hot wax
