Im a little scared does anyone know info on hiv? |
ok i only had one sexual encounter. this is where condom broke. the person may have had two other partners in the past i had none. what are chances of getting hiv. i am scared. do a lot of people have it. i heard i in 10 people do is that true? anyway i just need your opinions. Condoms DO help with the prevention of HIV. There is a lot of misinformation out there. If your partner had sex with others and they were negative, there is no risk all all, but what happens, people do not think they are at risk and become infected and never know it as they have never tested. I'm not sure what percentage of the population carries the HIV virus, but you mentioned that the person may have had 2 other partners in the past, so how many partners have those 2 people had? It's very hard to say what the chances are. You might get an HIV test. I read in Dear Abby that ordinary latex condoms don't protect against the spread of HIV. The article said there are microscopic holes in a latex condom big enough to let the HIV virus through, but too small to allow sperm through. |
