I dont want moving truck info I can get my stuff there. I am a single mom and I want to be sure I dont leave a leaf unturned I just want guidance. Please let me know a good website. I found one but it was for people with HIV what about the healthy but lonely??????? I jsut want to do it right and with as much ease with leaving any leaves unturned for my and my childrens sake. I don't know if you are a returning Newfoundlander or Labradorian but if the experience is a new one for you I can tell you that Newfoundlanders and Labradorians are very friendly and want to be helpful. Don't be afraid to talk to people when you get here. It likely be a change of pace, Newfoundlanders and Labradorians have a strong sense of place - grow to appreciate your new home and keep criticism and direct comparisons of NL and ON to a minimum :) Bit of friendly advice.
It may be good to hook up with a church or community organization when you touch base to help in the transition.
You'll notice a lot more flags, official and unofficial provincial flags and fewer maple leaf flags perhaps. Take the time to meet the people and travel and experience. Some CFAs (come-from-aways) say they never feel that Newfoundland and Labrador ever trully becomes their home. The reason is we are fiercely protective of this place. Embrace it and make it your own and it will indeed become your home.
