You get HIV by having sexual activities with someone already infected with HI virus. You can also get it from having homosexual activities. When you get the virus, it attacks your white blood cells. Your white blood cells are the cells that protect your body from disease. Whent thats happens, the HI Virus becomes Aids. So HIV is the virus that causes Aids. When the HIV attacks the blood cells, it forces the cell to make duplicates of the virus. those duplicates go and attack more and more whitie blood cells, until you have no more. When that happens, you become highly vulnerable to attack by disease. When you get aids, even a simple cold can kill you.
They are coming out with a cure soon.

HIV = Human Immunodeficiency Virus this leads to AIDS.
AIDS = Acquired ImmunoDeficiency Syndrome. This virus attacks your body's immune system. As a result, simple and otherwise curable conditions will kill you. You get strange cancers, drug resistant TB, yeast infections that are fatal. Bottom Line: stay as far away from sex as you can!
