Can a man have intercourse with his wife to have a baby when he has hiv? |
To explain is the man is married to the wife and they both want a child, he knows he hiv positive. Can he still have a child without passing hiv to his wife or child? there is no 100% guarantee but not to not pass it to the wife, if the wife sleeps with him she will contract it but with meds and medical supervision and c-section it can reduce the chances of the baby getting it there are couples who have done this a couple in India but the wife contracted the virus, the child was then delivered by c-section and the wife was on medication and medical supervision to lower the chances of the baby contracting it. It's a really high chance that she and the baby would get it. It is not worth risking two other lives......especially a baby's life. They aren't asking for it; it's not fair to the baby. yes he could but everyone then will have hiv including the baby the safe way would be no intercourse and someone else sperm from like a sperm bank |
