Should I stay with my girlfriend even though she is HIV positive? |
We love each other a lot. I am negative. She didn't get it sexually. It is not her fault then that she is HIV pos, so if you truly care for her then yes, you should stay with her and support her. You can still protect yourself from HIV, and there are a lot of meds to treat your girlfriend these days, good luck for the future to you both... The question is completley up to you... it depends on what you have going on for yourself, if your young and are just starting your life and what a family down the road then no you should not stay with her, you should just be friends. If you love her and want to stay with her, do so. I have friends that married even after hers progressed to AIDS. But you must remember to protect yourself, and her. Remember her immune system is low and she may catch illness like the flu, colds, etc. easier than most people. If you truly love her, you will stay with her. |
