Is it ethical to segregate HIV-positive inmates from general population inmate?

I just wanted to know your opinion on this topic

No it isn't, it's punishing people for having an illness. Not all HIV positive people are homosexual, so the idea of suggesting they might rape other inmates is scaremongering.
How far would this idea extend? Would it then become considered ethical to prevent HIV positive people from entering shops, cafes,, pubs, clubs etc? Would people with cancer or heart disease then have restrictions placed on them?
People should be educated about HIV issues not allowed to react with hysteria and start isolating vulnerable people

Yes, because if HIV+ inmates end up raping any HIV- ones then that would stink.
