Do doctors have to be disease free?

Is it possible for a doctor to have an std or be HIV positive? Do they have to like take a certain health screening or anything every year? I had a one night stand with a doctor and now Im kinda freaking out about it because Im stupid and trusted him when he said he had a condom on! Please help!

Yes. Doctors, in theory, should be disease free. They should also never be drunk when they operate, or give to much medication to their patients, or always have the kindest bedside manner ever.

Go get tested if you're concerned. Not likely. But get some peace of mind.

PS. He said he had a condom on, but you're not sure? Care to elaborate? Not a difficult thing to confirm or deny.

Last I heard, doctors got sacked for having infectious diseases. Hypocratic oath states they will help others, not make them sicker. Should be safe. Screening, not sure if they do...
