There are some of the virus in saliva, but in order to be infected you'd have to drink GALLONS of an infected person's saliva.

If you're using the straw to drink gallons of the HIV positive person's saliva, then you have a chance.

You can't get it thru salava or mucus but you can get it through blood. This being said, if the person who is HIV positive had a small cut of sorts in their mouth (or nose, if the straw was for drugs) and you used it after then you do have a chance of catching it.
If you are REALLY worried, go see the doctor and ask for a drug screen and request HIV be included

Yes. If the person who has HIV has any sores or open wounds in his/her nose, and you do as well, HIV could be transmitted.

While it IS possible, it is HIGHLY unlikely. I wouldn't take that chance seing as AIDS is such a devastating disease, but if you do (or did) you most likely are ok. There are alot of factors governing that though, if you are sick and your immune system is compromised as a result you are more succeptible. If you have you probably should get tested, but you should anyway. Once you get a clean bill of health you will feel great.

It is not likely that you can get HIV from drinking from a straw. The only chance of you getting HIV from straw is if your partner has an open wound in the mouth. Saliva is a very weak carrier of the HIV virus but in the presence of open wound, it is very possible.

I am just going to second what Linda R said - is you mean a straw used to snort cocaine with then yes, HIV can be passed.
