Did you cut yourself..?
You can only get HIV from a passing of fluid, such as blood, sperm etc.

yes its definitely possible. You probably should get tested.

Transmission
HIV is passed through blood and bodily fluids. Mainly semen, blood and vaginal secretions, but also breast milk.

Infection can happen in 5 ways:

Sexual intercourse with an infected person.

Anal intercourse with an infected person.

Sharing needles and other paraphernalia for injecting drugs with an infected person (this includes using steroids and "skin popping" drugs).

Infected blood or blood products given by blood transfusions or other medical treatments. (This is very rare in the U.S. and Canada as all blood is screened for the HIV infection.)

Giving birth (if YOU are infected with HIV). About 1 in 4 HIV-positive mothers will infect their babies either during birth, while pregnant (the virus crosses the placenta to the fetus), or by breastfeeding. There are drugs to reduce the risk of transmission, though, so getting tested and being safe while pregnant is extremely important.

It can take 10 years (or more) for the HIV virus to develop into full-blown AIDS. Once you are infected you will eventually develop AIDS, even though new drugs can slow down this process. Eventually the breakdown of the immune system will occur and the person becomes fatally vulnerable to diseases that healthy people rarely die from. Even the flu can kill a person with AIDS.

I'm a former AIDS activist, so I can be of help. First off, calm yourself. HIV is a virus that cannot survive long outside the body. But to be honest, there have been cases where HIV has been spread in a similar fashion. This is why razors, toothbrushes and other personal products should not be shared between people.

I would contact your physician immediately or your local AIDS clinic. Don't be scared, your risk is low and HIV is not a death sentence. If this happened recently, you have to wait 3 months to get an HIV test to know for sure, and then a follow up test 6 months after this.

No matter the result, you will still have all the abilities to live a productive, long life.

yes...especially if you had an open sore...if there was blood on it...if you cut yourself with it...etc...

dude...you so should know better...

call your doc ASAP...there are meds they can give you to try and ward it off...and it is usually effective...

I dont think you should be overly concerned at this point...but you should take the necessary precautions in case you do become infected so that you do not spread the infection to others...

and btw...stress will weaken your immune system...so def dont stress man...

did you know this other person was infected with it? are you sure they are?

get some facts dude...
