How can I keep my relationship going with my boyfriend if he is HIV positive and I am not?

My boyfriend has HIV, I do not. We have had sex (protected only). We both care for each other, so how do we keep myself safe as we continue to get to know one another?

You're already doing the steps necessary to keep yourself HIV negative. By caring for him, you're providing support for him and his condition. Preventing the transmission of the virus is sexually and morally responsible. Best of luck to both of you.

As long as you are using condoms you are fine... Use lots of lubb tho, because if theres not enough of it, the condom may brake and giving u the risk of contracting the virus. Keep on using condoms and female condoms are great for both females and males! Keep talking about what is going on. Oral, kissing are very low risk so keep that in mind. I have been with my partner 12 years, he's poz and I remain negative. It can work.
