Why do other treat us with H.I.V so dam badly we are peoples to?

I have talk with a few peoples they don't know that I am hiv positive and I just wanted to see how they would react to someone with it and they were very hateful..

meaning please if there is someone out there and that is hiv positive please answer this question because peoples need to go read on theses kind of things because it could happen to them to

It's because they are stupid and ignorant people. Many people in the world treat other people different for any stupid reason. If it's race, ethnicity, class (poor/ rich), or any other thing a person has, it's stupid to treat them different. We are all human beings and should love an care for each other.
To answer your question specifically, they might not know anything or the basic stuff on HIV or AIDS. The most common thing people think is that it's only for Gay people. Which is not true. Or maybe they're idiots who think it's contagious. Whatever it is, which can be anything, I'm sure that it's something pretty stupid that they think is really serious.

They aren't educated on the facts, and believe the only way you can get HIV is by going around having unprotected sex, when indeed, yes that does happen to many people, but there are other ways. You can get it by going to get a shot or a tattoo or a piercing and the needle not being sterilized or you could get it from a spouse who didn't love you enough to think of your health when they were cheating.People don't understand HIV does not define who a person is,it doesn't mean they are bad people.I don't have HIV,but i wouldn't treat a person any different because of a disease.I think people who treat you different because you have HIV are ignorant,HIV does not make who you are,it doesn't define you.People act as though HIV defines who a person is and it doesn't

I wouldn't be hateful, but I admit I would be distant... not because I disliked you as a person, but because I would be afraid of contracting the disease. Thought I know how it spreads, it still doesn't quell the irrational fear I have that I would catch it simply by breathing the same air as an HIV positive person.

Maybe the people you think are hateful are just scared of becoming infected. I know some people are unkind, but not everyone is and I'm sorry if you feel that way.

It is funny how strangers react to me telling them I have HIV. I had a public speaking class and we were to give a speech on something the changed our lives. I, of course, told of the HIV and my pregnancy. I also explained that this was something I got from my birth mother. It hurt me to see how some people reacted. I had a friend in the class who already know about my status and I thought she was going to beat the crap out of everyone. I would guess everyone in the class went and got tested. One girl came back positive and blamed me for giving her the virus. It dumbfounded me how fast the news spread.

My husband met me at school one day with our son for lunch. He gave me a kiss and a group of people walked up to us and said "You know she has HIV right?" my husband just looked at them and said "ya, and? Why the f*** do you care?" one of the guys said, "She could give it to you and your son." A yelling match ensued between them and my husband informed him that we were married and that the baby was also my son and they both were negative. Then my husband socked the guy. My husband is very protective of me, but I never knew he would beat someone up over me being insulted.

I honestly don't care who knows, My family and my husband's family and our friends know what happened. They also know that the only one at the greatest risk of getting the virus is my husband. It amazes me to no end how people react to the news though.

I told my husbands aunt (this lady has had all sorts of illnesses thrown at her). She just looked at me and said "ya, so? You have HIV what's the big deal?" That is the best response I have ever received!

I have not encounter anyone with HIV that I know, but I am sure that there are HIV positive people at my shool. I guess that sometimes people that know that someone is HIV positive have fear of contacting it too. These people think that HIV only came from having sexual intercourse or something and they end up judging you. The only thing that can explain their behaivior is the fear of becoming HIV positive, besides they should be supportive and encourage others to use protection and that includes themselves.HIV isn't contacted with just unprotected sex but also comming in contact with the blood of someone that is HIV positive, and the use of the same needles that someone with HIV used. I have not met anyone that is HIV positive but Im sure I would'nt be ignorant and uncompassionate about it. In fact I have thought of becoming a doctor and travel to places where these types of viruses are taking place the most and help the people know how to protect themselves and put a stop to it.....There still is no cure for HIV and that sometimes makes me kinda sad. But well that is all I can say.

Okay this has nothing to do with the question. But how did you know you had it?
I think people react the way you mentioned because they only usually think of gays, drug users, or promiscuous sex as answerer 2 stated. Also just being scared of it.

Some people are innocent victims. That is sad. However most victims are perverts. That is why you get a bad reaction, people are real tired of perverts spreading HIV all over the planet. I am tired of it also.

People are quick to judge because HIV is associated with either promiscuous sex or drug users.
Others are just afraid. people are afraid of what they don't know.
Sad, but true.
They should at least get to know your story.

Probably because most people dont understand much about it.. I dont know.. I dont understand it, I think people are all equal, whether they are ill or not. I suppose some people think of HIV as being dirty.

People are stupid and ignorant, that's all you can really say about it.

They just can't the image of how you might have gotten it out of your head.
We only think about the bad things.
We are all flawed.
