Please Help Me...?

On Sept. 25, I was in the hospital for a severe casse of pnemonia I was in the hospit until Oct 25. I can not walk to good and I am still feeling ill. I also found out that I was HIV positive. I worked full time. what can I do to get Disability benefits?? thanks

You should look at the disability benefits information on the Social Security website. Like the person before said, people are living long happy lives with HIV these days - it's NOT a death sentence. So I suggest you eat healthy foods and exercise as much as you can to build your strength back up, try to go back to work part time until you are up to par and live your life like you normally would - only be a little more careful this time around. Only use disability as a last resort - you'll feel much better about yourself if you are earning your own money. And for God's sake, don't pass it on to someone else.

Well, the pneumonia makes sense since you're more susceptible with HIV. I'm sorry to hear about your diagnosis.. however, many people who are HIV+ can still live very healthy lives. You can speak with your boss at work, or somebody in Human Resources. Good luck.
