What are the chances I'm infected?

Okay, I hope someone can help. I recently discovered my boyfriend is HIV positive. I lost my virginity to him. We have never had unprotected sex. He has "gone down" on me a few times. I have never done that to him. Im so worried I may be infected, even though I have never had unprotected sex. I am going to get tested, but i read it can take up to 6 months, and only lost my virginity about 3 months ago, plus we were sexually active unitl he found out, (about a week ago). I wish i could find out now, but since I have to wait a few months, Can someone ease my mind?

You should talk to your doctor or the public health clinic ASAP. They can answer your questions and give you a test now and then again in 3 months.

If you've never had unprotected sex with him you are very, very unlikely to have caught HIV from him unless the condom broke or slipped off. Him going down on you is no risk at all.

Nearly everyone who is going to develop HIV antibodies (which is what the usual HIV test looks for) will do so within the first month of getting infected. Many doctors will say 3 months or 6 months to be sure, but the number of people whose test turns positive between two months and six months is very, very small.

100%, shouldve thought about the consequences. Now you cant give your virginity to your husband on your honeymoon night.

you can get HIV through oral sex if he had sores in his mouth or you had small sores too. If you are too worry about your status I will try to get a PCP test, that is the one that porn actors get, it is a lot more expensive, i think 150 to 200 bucks but they can detect HIV status up to 2 weeks of the incident(good for your case). there are several privates clinics that do it, and in a few states it is cheaper.

Your chances are fairly low.

There have been no confirmed cases of transmission of HIV through oral sex. Ever. Using a condom is one of the most effective ways to prevent HIV infection.

You can get tested now. Three months is a fine time to be tested. (Though, I realize it hasn't been three months since your last possible exposure.)

Get yourself tested. But I'm sure you'll be fine.

If you chose to remain sexually active with your boyfriend, continue to use condoms. Also, you need to be aware of PEP, I think it's called. Even if my acronym there is wrong, this is what I'm referring to: If you discover that the condom broke during sex, you can be put on a short course (about a month) of Anti-HIV medications that will reduce your chances of contracting HIV. But, for this to work you need to begin taking the medications AS SOON AS POSSIBLE after the possible exposure. The next day, for example. Your boyfriend's doctor should know about this.

you need to go to a doctor- check up! - you can go to planned parenthood !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! they are usally nice there 2 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!- maybe that will be faster results for you...........
