Would you harbor me or does your morality deem only certain individuals worthy of humanity?

I heard an interesting song today,it asked would you harbor a gay,lesbian,hiv positive ,illegal immigrant,it would be the christian thing to do,these were the type of people that made up Jesus's congregation.

Of course I would-no matter the condition...I'm only human(of no particular faith-nor am I an Atheist)-out of righteousness for one being-from another...and just because I adore me some miss pritty_pussykat!

You are using he term humanity to loosely.

Definitely, I would if you are gay, lesbian, or hiv positive. They don't make you any less human. These are conditions with which we have little control, if there's any, ecxept having HIV, which you could have prevented had you been more careful. They don't make you less human at all. In fact they show that are only human and that there are some things beyond your control. Now, if you are an illegal immigrant, that is a very different story. That is within your control. You know it's illegal and yet you willingly submit yourself to that situation. You know the consequences of your actions and you have to pay for it. That doesn't make you less human, too. It shows that you are stuborn, which is a trait we inherited from Adam and Eve.

I am not Christian, and I would harbor anyone who needed me to do this.

It is not a Christian value to be compassionate, empathetic and unselfish.

mmmm? well you can be assured that if they were part of Jesus' congregation (he had none for the christian church was NOT set up until after his death, about 31 years) however, beitso, if they were those type, they would of been accepted under one that is ONE condition!...NO MORE SINNING. NO more deviant behavior. THEY WOULD HAVE HAVE TO BE REFORMED, REPENTANT AND NEVER TO DO AGAIN. That was the Christian way.

You are absolutely right... these were the very type of people that made the up the followers of Jesus.

When these people came to Jesus they asked Him for his help and blessings and turned from their ways and were healed. The harlots, criminals, the sick and afflicted and those with an otherwise broken compass. The point was they didn't come to Jesus to look for a refuge for their lifestyle choice but to make changes that were pleasing to the Lord.

So yes, I will offer you help if you ask for it.
