Aids question here my nephew who is 18...................?

was told he is hiv positive it destroyed me i didnt know what to do and he told me of a few people he know he infected he doesnt want to accept that he has it and keeps sleeping unprotected i've done all i can to tell him how serious this is but he doesnt want to listen i am scared for him and for his peers he just entered the 12th grade and hasnt told n e one. what should i do and how long do u think he has to live? ive never even known anyone with this disease and i dont know what to do

if your nephew doesn't want to accept the responsibility and you are aware that he is infecting other people then I believe that it is now your responsibility to do anything in your power to prevent more people from dying from this disease. If he was holding a gun to someone's head what would you do? this is exactly what he is doing. I would talk to the headmaster (principle, dean or whatever it's called there).. i would tell his friends, even the police if he keeps doing it.. he is killing people; i wouldn't care what he thinks of me for telling. He could have avoided public humiliation by only telling the few people that he needs to but if he can't do that I would tell anyone and everyone who might come into sexual contact with him. Does he know that he can be prosecuted for murder if he knowingly transmits this disease?

HIV on it's own doesn't kill.. people can live a long life with HIV, it's when it becomes AIDS that it becomes lethal

slap him!! he is in sexual contact with people knowing he has this disease!!! how many more lives is he going to wreck. i think it might even be illegal!!

relax...i knw its srs to be HIV+ but lemme tell u even an HIV+ person can live upto more than 20years. being HIV+ doesnt mean u hae AIDS and gonna die in nxt few months. yeah just control on his eating and stuff, make him understand with love that he shdnt get panic and not to make ne other girl infected by this, dnt let him eat outside, give him green veg. and consult ur doctor on hw can i be prevented in turning into AIDS...m sure there is sum technique.

you need to seek professional counseling for him.
This is a serious problem and it's seriously hurting many people.
If you can't convince him to stop having sex with unknowing partners, at least try and convince him to use a condom.
I think I speak for the general public when I say that this is everyones biggest fear!
In closing, SEEK PROFESSIONAL HELP FOR HIM. There are also organizations out there (like Planned Parenthood) that when you test + for HiV, you can give names of your partners and the organization will confidentially contact these partners to let them know they may have been infected.

Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome,you cannot cure it.But to prolong the live if anyone do it,yes.If the CD4 falls lowly,the patient should take the ARV all the rest of his life.

just have faith... and accept the truth and fine some medicines to take away the virus.... or find a wicthdog and drink the blood of it.. so the virus will b gone and to live and let die just like normals...

counselled and tell him the risk , the hope and the stage he is and he will also brief him on how to take care of himself and other

counselling in these world is easy and many are around to assist this type of suituation .

It's unknown how long he will live, he may live for 30 years or 40 years.

But he needs to get his sexual activity under control. He can be sent to jail if he knowingly infects other people if he is caught. It's a criminal offense.
