What do you think...??

Ok so i was dating this guy for about a year on and off..well we had sexual intercourse enough times..well we been broken up for about 7 months now...now he is telling my current boyfriend that he forgot to tell me that he is HIV positive...I live in michigan...i dont really know if he could possibly get into any kind of trouble for not telling me or not? I would appreciate a serious response...

First and foremost you should get tested. Immediately. If he is indeed HIV positive and he infected you, I believe he can be held liable for not informing you of his condition, especially knowing that he had it even while you were engaging in sexual contact. For clarification I would recommend contacting a lawyer's office to see if there are any legal actions that can be taken.

Other than that, I return to my first point which is get tested as soon as you can. If you are infected, the sooner you know, the sooner you can seek treatment. Good luck

Well first think if he is the type of spiteful guy that would just say that to freak you out? If not, then go to the doctor or get an HIV home test at Walgreen's. And yes, he absolutely could go to prison for this. Good luck honey.

First get tested to make sure he isn't just lying to cause trouble. If you turn up positive the yes seek legal advice. I'm sure that they will be able to prove that he has had prior knowledge of the disease and you obviously wouldn't have contracted it or be throwing a huge fit if you had know that he had it. First things first though, get checked.

He tells your current boyfriend that he "forgot" to tell you that he was HIV positive???? I mean COME ON. Either he is lying and is trying to start trouble so you'll current boyfriend will not want to have sex with you, or he's serious and a total b*stard.

Either way, the guy is sick (literally). If this is true, then you do not just forget you are HIV positive. I do not know the law in that regard, but it's almost like attempted murder. Yes I think he CAN get into trouble, as it was his responsibility to let you know that before ever engaging in sexual relations. He then knowingly exposed you to a possible lethal virus.

I do not know who you can go to to find out if action can be taken, but this is digusting. I would seek professional advice about this.
