Would you date someone with a terminal or infectious disease? |
I was listerning to one of the local radio station's in my country, it was a call in show and the topic was knowing ur personal HIV status, a woman called the show saying that her husband had left her after finding out she was HIV positive and gone and married a younger woman....anyway to cut the long story short would you date or marry someone with an infectious or terminal disease, does love overcome such barriers?......? For those asking for addtional details the woman made it seem like her husband had been unfaithful and left when she was diagnosed. love does overcome it.if you love someone then you would stay by their side and work through the situation to improve.Love is forever, not just until you find something out about the person you dont like,or they cant help. No hell no and do u live in Columbia SC if u do i know what u were listening to no How did she get the HIV in the first place. If it was because she cheated on him and then could have possibly infected him I don't blame him for leaving. I don't know if I would necessarily "date" someone, but if anything happened to my husband, I would definitley stand by him. No. What would be the point of it but then again i am a logical thinker even when in love. If you really like that person yes. For some people it does, but for me I am more afraid of the disease and would opt not to be in a relationship knowingly until they can find a cure for the disease - (Sexually transmitted). Now, for something that is not transmitted in that way such as cancer, MS, lupus, etc., I would remain with the person and be there for the times in their lives when they were failing in health because it is not like these diseases are transferrable Not in my book. Eeewww. No I would not be able to deal with it. I would never date someone who I know has a liklier chance to die before I... Unconditional Love doesnt work that way for me... Having to remind myself every day anew - it might end soon... Cant fall for someone with those thoughts riding the backseat. Otherwise, I wouldnt leave my partner if we found out about such a disease... Again, unconditional love: I loved them before - through thick and thin - right? no i wouldnt want to catch anything... and i know that it would be sad for the person with the disease to be loneley but i would have to look out for myself and my son first. how in the world could he have married her if he didn't know she was hiv pos. she had to have contracted it after they were married so no i would probably leave since she was cheating, and if i didnt leave and would forgive her i would not have sex with her anymore. No I will not date a person with HIV positive,in fact if I will go into relationship, I will have both of us tested. I have to use common sense to fall in love. Is it worth it to get one person to do with and give you infection ? Or have fun, doing it with lots and lots of people that you got infected of the disease? |
