Are people accountable for their parent's sins? |
Say a child is born to HIV positive parents. The child has HIV. According to God, why is the child held accountable? Alex, maybe you misread. I meant that HIV is spread from mother to child during child birth. Simply put, there is no god and everything that happens in life is just chance and nothing more. We are not born into sin and we do not die in sin. Life is tough and sometimes there are good points and sometimes there are bad points, thats just life. Read about the "Plague of the First Born"....clearly God doesnt really care or distinguish between parent and child. it is the consequences of the sin that the parent caused it is not the child's fault, there are consequences to everything in this life, good or bad, cosequences come out of all of our decisions. Don't blame God for your sins. If a child is born with HIV, God did not give it to them, God did not tell the Mother or the Daddy to go out a sleep with 20 or more other people.. God did not tell the Mother or the Daddy to drink, smoke, or do all kinds of other drugs. It maybe the child that has to suffer here on earth, but it will be the parents who have to stand before an Almighty God someday and have to answer for what they did to the gift that He placed in their care. That will be a day of great destruction. Jesus tells us in His Word that it is better that a millstone be hanged around a person's neck and they be thrown in the sea, then to harm one of His little ones. |
