This is a serious question. What would you do if you heard that rumour is going round your workplace that you.

....are being suspected of being HIV Positive just because you lost some weight in recent months and have a few pimples growing on your face?How would you react and what would you do??

In the real sense you know you arent positive.

this is something that needs to be brought to the attention of your manager. it's harrassment and the people involved could face disciplinary action or even termination if it's not stopped.

if you have names of the people who are doing this-tell your manager. make your voice heard and explain to him/her if they don't take care of it, then you're going to the head of the company to put a stop to it.

working under those conditions isn't fair to you and it's a violation of your employee rights.

I wouldn't pay attention to rumors, they'll die down
people make them up because they have nothing better to do, you'll see they'll have a fresh one tomorrow
I say take the higher road and ignore them
if they don't stop and affect your work performance and the attitude of your co workers I would speak to HR about the unsatisfactory work environment

That's terrible honey. Its like a kind of bullying. You should probably have a word with your boss and report it, as well as who you think started the rumour. You shouldn't have to put up with it. Doesn't it make you sad how people who are HIV positive are treated nowadays.

I would bring in my negative HIV reading and post it on the company bulletin board!! Nothing like the damn truth!

I agree with Michelle!! Thats the very good thing to do and you'll see they will say sorry to you..Besides, whatever they will say (rumours) just ignore them...
