How is this possible...?

I was reading an article on Magic Johnson. How does his wife not have HIV but he does? She was 2 mos. pregnant with their child when he announced he was HIV positive so they were obviously having unprotected sex.. from a medical perspective how can she be HIV neg.?

Just because you have unprotected sex with someone with a STD doesn't mean that you are 100% gonna get it, there are rare cases when you get lucky. Plus how do you know she doesn't have it, because you read it somewhere or it was on ESPN or Cnn dont believe everything you hear

Monetarily speaking he is worth in the upwards of 700 million dollars. With that kind of money he can fly the best doctors in from the world and they are always treating him.

Who knows? Maybe he got infected after she got pregnant. Maybe she was just lucky.

You don't necessarily contract HIV just by having unprotected sex with someone. The virus has to actually enter your bloodstream. That's why drug users who share needles and gay men are the most common victims.

According to my sources, HIV infection is not 100% positive even if one has unprotected relations.
Another possibility is that 'Magic' doesn't have much DNA involved with the child.
Ever think of that?

You MAY or MAY NOT develop a HIV infection by having sex with an infected person. It doesnt infect 100% of exposures.

The worst thing you can do to a person is tell them they have an incurable disease. That would inturn make the person believe that they are going to die. And most go on to die if they believe it.
