How can I manage my family with small finances which I'm earning from work and educate my children please?!!! |
I am a widow of four children my husband passed away in 1998. He was HIV positive and so I am, The salary I am receiving is very little that sometime I fail to pay my house rent, water bills and electricity bills. Most of the days me and my children go to bed without eating anything and this and contributes to the children to concetrate in class when they think that I may also die soon because I'm HIV positive. What should I do to make my children feel that I'm still health and I can do more than what they can desire Surly there is more help available to help you in this case. It sounds like a script from the long ago past. My heart goes out to you and your family but you need to contact the local authorities, aids charities and children's groups to help you out. good luck to you all and please don't delay....you do not need to do this on your own....... Sell you computer I am so sorry for your trouble. But if you cannot feed your children it is time to call a halt isn't it. Do you want them to grow up stunted with malnutrition? You need to place them for adoption. Sorry but it's the best thing for them. They will have a chance at a decent life that you can't give them. Have you tried social services in your area? Do you attend church? Church groups and many others in every community are out there to help and guide you. Look for outreach centers in your community. There is counseling, and have you applied for food stamps? Nobody should have to live like that. I am sorry that you are in the situation that you are in. I suggest that you contact your local citizens advice bureau. They will be able to work you through other help that may be available for your particular situation. Also, contact the benefits agency, they'll be able to tell you all the benefits that you should be applying for. Go to the nearest Social Security office. If you are HIV positive, you will probably be able to get Medicaid benefits. Your children will probably get Medicaid. Based on your financial situation, you can probably apply for Food Stamps for your kids, so at least they will not go hungry. Also, if your husband was working before he died and paid his social security taxes, you may be eligible to receive his social security benefits. If you document your illness and also your husband's death and current situation, many utility companies will work out a payment schedule to pay off the arrears. |
