How has HIV/AIDS affected your life in a POSITIVE WAY?? YOUR PERSONAL STORY PLEASE!?!? |
My brother was HIV+ and I took it as a learning process. I learned all the info there was to know. I passed it along to others. Some people are sad and depressed about it as I was in the begining. But it has helped me to LOVE people no matter what the issue and helped me to spread the word. I went throught all the down sides, I watched my brother die at home on Hospice. One question that still has me baffeled is WHY??? do people say "U dont look like u have AIDS" Or they think AIDS cant happen to them. A lot of people seem to think "Oh that wont happen to me" What your feelings on it???????? I used to be mighty afraid of people that were HIV positive, until one of my relative's unfaithful husband gave her the disease. I quit going to hookers and now my wife loves me again For me, knowing that HIV/AIDS is out there...has made me think things through first. It has made me not want to jump into relationships (intimate) as quickly as I did when I was younger. It has made me realize that you had better be careful about who you choose to have sex with and I was tested several years ago just to relieve my mind. I had unprotected sex a few times in my younger days and you always wonder until you get checked. And even then, you're not totally sure because it takes a while to show up sometimes. So, it's been a reality check for me and I'm sure lots of others. The best cure is prevention, u must look outwards and be positive, there are people who have days , months , years to live and they have been told this, there are people who dnt have food, dnt have shelter, dsnt have freinds, family to look after, there lot of peopel worser off, thats not to say HIV.AIDS is a minor problem because it aint, the only thing u can do is spread awarness, edcuate people, teach people about this, if one is effected with HIV/AIDS then they need to get treatment which can make u live longer or whole life, go into relgion, do good deeds, keep ur mind occupied, some people dnt look they have HIV/AIDS because of the immunue system, some people get symptoms later on in life, some get them stright away, but all u can do is get treatment soon as possible and just b greatful for the things u have at the moment, its not end of the world, people still can survive with treatment, but theres nothing u can do about having HIV/AIDS, but just to look outwards, as i said teach people about this, PREVENTION IS THE WAY. Wow, im glad it was a learning process for YOU! good for YOU! |
