Does schools have the right to notify parents about The status of HIV positive children?? |
What about HIPA? No, they have no right to tell other parents. That is private protected medical information. Only if the parents of that child give permission for that information to be given out can they give that out (like in special circumstances). how will a school know ? yes they should if parents are that dumb yes bec the kidws are still minors. i would say yes since the child is a minor and is still covered under the parents insurance. the parents will need to know if thier child is hiv positive so, they can help thier child have a longer life by making sure they get what they need when did the school get the right to take a blood sample? they have the right to teach parents about HIV, they have the right to protect the school population....children that are HIV positive need to be protected from mother's that have to work and send their kids with the flu to school so it works both ways Only if the child with HIV is having unprotected anal or vaginal sex or sharing needles with other kids. |
