Can some one who is HIV positive give birth to a baby that is not infected?

Yes. If you have HIV and are on anti-viral therapy it can prevent transmission to the baby.

Yes. the child only contracts HIV during delivery. If you are on meds and the delivery is quick there is a lesser chance of passing it along.

it is possible, but not 100% sure thing. is also very possible for the baby to be infected during birth, while passing through the birth canal.
