Can some one who is HIV positive give birth to a baby that is not infected? Yes. If you have HIV and are on anti-viral therapy it can prevent transmission to the baby. Yes. The child will be tested every few months for a couple of year as a precautionary measure. yes, there are medication that will decrease the viral load that wont harm the baby. They will perform a cesarean section though because the actual birth transmit the virus to the baby. Yes.
