If any of you are HIV positive.....?

How did you keep on going with your daily life after finding out your diagnosis? How did you get the will power to even get out of bed in the morning and find a point and purpose in your life?

I dont have it..I was just wondering if I ever got it how I would react.

Now that there are maintenance meds you most likely will not come down with horrible painful diseases, you will not look like a walking skeleton, you will not wither away and die soon, so unlike people who live in parts of the world who do not have access to the maintenace meds and will die, you do have a purpose.
That purpose is to get out of bed and start working to get those needed meds available to every HIV person in the world. Your side job is to pressure our government and universities to devote themselves to creating an effective vaccine to rid the world of AIDS.

Back when I worked at an "adult" shop (ahem), there was a regular customer who was open about his condition which he'd been living with for about 6 years at the time. I got into a really deep conversation with him about it that truly touched me: he said that his basis for living is just the fact that he had to. He didn't look at HIV as a boundary or obstacle, but just another chapter in life, and I believe it's that ideology that a disease cannot ruin your life as long as you don't allow it to is what has kept him upbeat and healthy for so long. It's been around 3 years since I've seen him, but we still keep in touch every now and then and he always says he's in good health even to this day. :)

Gay guy here poz diagoned 2.5 years ago and that many years of digging through mounds of research shows to me HIV may not be the cause of AIDS. Many people i find living for 20+ years and no meds in direct opposition to those that believe in the virus and everything their doctor says are always sick and dying. if I have a better chance to go the route of knowing the truth than to believe im sick with a dreaded disease, i'll take alternative to believe differently. life couldnt be better, and i'll be dying of old age, not from anything else.
