You don't even have to swallow. Anytime any body fluid comes in contact with any other body fluid HIV can be transmitted. The question is the likely hood. Most experts feel that transmision through saliva is very unlikely. That is why people have said you can't get AIDS from kissing. The truth is you CAN get AIDS from kissing, it just isn't very likely. I have heard that the stomach acid kills most of the HIV virus, and that, therefore, oral sex is not a very high risk way of transmission. However, the more contact you have with any bodily fluid the more at risk you put yourself. If you want to protect yourself, don't get involved physically with anyone who is HIV positive.

Yes. Generally a transfer of bodily fluids of any sort has the same effect. Especially if the fluid is not in contact with air first. I'm no doctor or specialist but this is my understanding.
