last i heard the rate per capita is about 5 times higher for blacks and hispanics (dont know if thats still true) than it is for whites, i dont know the acutal percentage, www.cdc.gov probably has a lot of data on it

The CDC Will have this answer for you but keep in mind that the statistics for African Americans will be higher than other races because many of them don't get tested as they usually feel they are not at risk. i.e middle income to higher income Caucasians ..... HIV is not gender nor race specific. The H stands for human not poor, rich, black, white Hispanic etc....
