Can a person who is HIV positive work on a cruise line??

Depends. The big companies (Carnival, Costa, Celebrity, Royal, Princess etc...) always ask for HIV results, as well as venereal deseases, Hepatitis, Drug Abuse, etc.
The smaller ones don麓t, especially the european ones.
They sometimes are satisfied with either an ENG1 or a Norwegian Medical Directorate, which do not have HIV among the tests.
I do believe that if you disclaim that information though, they will make some excuse not to hire you.
Ive done ships for 10 years, both large and small companies, and have also found that they don麓t even look at your exames, once you get onboard.
I麓m diabetic (type II, no insulin, just pills) and after my first contract I never disclaimed that info, because I know they would not hire me.
The companies advertise equal employment etc, but its BS.
Staff members are always from nationalities that have a better status and also have better apearence, crew members are usualy from countries in worse condition.
Crew: Waiters, cleaners etc.
Staff: Reception, Shops, Casinos etc...

yea y not HIV is passed on sexually through bodily fluids so u should be able to get the job
