Should people who are HIV positive deserve the stigma and discrimination they face?

Of course not.

Yes, irresponsibilty plays are part into why SOME people get HIV or AIDS, but these people have a disease that might take away their life! What they need is support and understanding more than anything - all with HIV-AIDS, not some.

As a general principle, the answer is definitely no. Above all, they deserve sympathy, perhaps even pity, along with any help we can give them.

But, in some particular cases--such as those who are positive and engage in unprotected sex--they deserve as much stigma and discrimination as we would direct toward anyone else who attempted to kill another person.
