Would you swim with a person who's HIV positive? |
Check out the story below and gimme your honest answer. Who knows I go to public pools.Do you go to restaurants and eat and drink off untensils? Are they sanitized? In this situation I feel like it is the parents fault .I think that it is personal information that could have been kept confiadental and precautions procedures could have been taken if something happened. Now look the whole world knows it has been broadcast on abc the childs name and the parents names even their photos.Who knows we all probably are being served at restaurants by people that have this.Only the educated will survive. No Yes, I would and I know that I have. If they are showing severe signs of HIV (sores, etc), they should be banned form the pool. Y wouldn't I. HIV is transmitted through blood to blood contact. This is like asking if you would drink out of a drinking fountain of a person who has HIV. People, you can not get HIV without blood to blood contact. Jeez people are so stupid. Not you! People. A little education goes a long way. How would jesus treat the situation? Man I cannot believe people are so uneducated about HIV and AIDS. You can't get it from touching, kissing, hugging, SWIMMING, saliva or anything. If you have an open wound, and they do, and that wound touches, yeah, you can get it. If you're having unprotected sex, yeah, you can get it. You can be born with it if your parent had it. Those are pretty much the only ways to get it. yea, the chances of getting HIV from swimming in the same pool with someone who is infected is highly remote. Yes i would personally not have a problem swimming with somebody who had the disease. awwwww that sux for that kidl... but honostly, i wouldn't want to swim with him yes. b/c hiv + is not full blown aids yet. It just means you are a carrier for aids. once you have aids I still would but I wouldn't recommand for the person to swin b/c chlorine can only kill so much and their immune system is almost null . i would think the chorine would kill any of their virus before it would effect us anyway. the virus only survives like 30 second once it is outside of the host anyway . that is why host to host transfer is how we get the hiv virus. sex and/or blood interaction. I would not mind. I would engage the act with trepidation though. If people were better informed on HIV/AIDS they would know that there isn't anyway of contracting HIV thru causal contact. Yes I would. I didn't read the story u put on hear but I heard of it on the news. I don't know why they told any1 his business 2 start with. That was wrong. The media put so much fear in ppl heads that they are frighten and it seems like everyday they change what the"facts" are. those ppl were just ignorant, in the sense of not knowing. Yes. Yes! I would swim with them . . . unless they were bleeding out from a neck wound. Then again, chlorine would probably kill it before it became harmful. Yes I would swim with someone that was HIV positive. Even if the toddler was bleeding into the pool the viral load would still be so low just from the shear fact of dilution that it would be impossible to get. Not that we should let bleeding toddlers swim around in a pool because that's pretty gross. yes i would sure! thing is, is that most people do swim with those with hiv and are not aware of it..... Yes. HIV cannot be transmitted this way. This reminds me of the prejudice against Ryan White and Ricky Ray & his brothers (of Arcadia, FL) before people were educated about the disease. I guess there's still a lot of ignorance out there. |
