Are there any HIV positive leaders in American Government?

It seems that this is the last minority to take a seat in American Government -

Would US citizens elect and HIV positive mayor or governor given the social stigma attached?

That last answer was from just pure ignorance. There are many ways to get HIV, not all from acting irresponsibly, and besides, if someone did act irrespobsibly and get it, it wouldn't, in my eyes, disqulify them.
Chances are that there are indeed HIV positive people in government, but we just don't know, and to be honest it is none of our business. We all carry around many viruses and bacteria all the time. This one just happens to have a social stigma, and that first persons ignorant answer shows that.

I do not know of any, but I personally would not elect someone who is HIV positive. They are suppose to be leading are country, state, or town not setting bad examples.
