WTF?? HIV Positive Toddler banned from pool!!!? |
This is staight B.S. How can you ban a baby from swimming, just because he's HIV positive. What do you think about it? What the park owner said was just a bunch of ill-informed nonsense. You can't get HIV from swimming in the same pool as someo one with HIV. Because he's HIV positive. Baby or not, if he gets a cut and infects someone else, it won't be so cute its probally for the protection of others.. its no big deal its just a pool I heard about it that's a bunch of bull pucky me!@ awww. that's so sad! poor little guy... I think it's messed up too. I'm sure they think they were protecting the other kids but they cannot catch HIV from swimming in the same pool. well it can spit up in the pool or something and then other kids may be exposed...so maybe the parents of this child can get their own pool if they are really concerned about it. I think there is very little to worry about. Although children have very bad hygiene. And, they aren't always potty trained. So, although HIV is not a real concern. A more contagious disease would be. People are totally ignorant about HIV and AIDs. You should know that by now. They banned Ryan White from groceries in his area when he was HIV positive because supposedly he spit on produce. How stupid is that? i would have to agree because if that lil baby is infected. its EASILY he can infect everyone thats in that pool with minutes and now everyone is screwed. it sucks but no one wants to get infected. i would think the chemicals would prevent the spread but i sure wouldnt want to get aids from swimming That is a sad story, and a case of uninformed people. I think the ranger probably thought he was doing the right thing...just unfortunate he did not know enough about it. How long can the HIV virus last in a pool of 50% water, 50% urine? I agree with you. It is a whole load of B.S. And the kid only had a life expectancy of seven years! It literally wouldn't of killed the person to let the toddler swim. Some people are just so insensitive. I feel sorry for the baby, but anything can happen especially with a kid involved. I do understand that he's only in the pool but there is still so much to learn about HIV and if he gets hurt while he's there would anyone(lifeguard) attend to him, maybe/maybe not. So as much as I really do feel sorry for the child, you do have to worry about others. Its partially because of Race,Partially because of OTHER KIDS.... Cause he might pee, or cut himself, then spread it to other kids, cause when you are at the pool, you do drink the water, whether you like it or not. one word: Its sad that the child has to suffer for the 'sins of the fathers'........I wish this was a perfect world. Some people are just plain mean. It's not just a pool and no they shouldn't just get over it. Yes, he is HIV positive so................should they put him in a zoo behinds bars so everyone can point and snicker at him. Cause heaven forbid if he should touch someone, cause you know that's how AIDS and HIV is spread right??? Touching someone, saying hello...perhaps smiling at someone! Oh the thought!!!! |
