Has the way that the HIV campaign been interpreted by people have an adverse affect on the campaign's intended |
Intentions? As a man with HivI think those of us who have this needs to speak out and let people see what we go though as well as the joy we maintain even as we face potential death. I haven't seen this campaign! Anyway i think from years ago there was a big 'scare tactic' campaign on HIV but had the effect of denial amongst people, whereas this new one aims to reduce stress of people living with HIV, obviously having this virus can lead to sever psychological issues. It is probably best to focus on (talking just about this campaign) displaying the facts about how it is with you for life and the general negative facts about it. Than emphasize that new drugs lower the virus level (well try to) to unreadable by blood test and slow down the process... BUT is still likely to lower life expectancy. |
