Does my boyfriend's mom know he has hiv or std's?

Okay, I am 20 and my boyfriend is 21. I am his first, we both lost our virginity to each other. He has a rash on the back of his neck though and it kind of looks like an hiv rash. He said he got it after his parents divorce two years ago when he moved out of his mom's house. His mom told him to put neosporin on it. That how he takes care of it.

His mom has met me and know we are dating, don't you think if she knew he had hiv she would have told my boyfriend or me?

If I was his first and say he has it, that means he could have gotten it from his mother during birth. That means she has it and was the one to originate with it not my boyfriend.

And he has cold sores which he got as a little boy too, which he gave to me when I was 19, I am fine now.

What do you think is going on?
How do I ask him without it being offensive?
Should I ask his mom? How do I ask her without it sounding wrong?

I think if she or he had it she would've told him a long time ago and he would've already been

getting treatment for it?

WOULDN'T SHE HAVE TOLD HIM (HER SON!!) OR ME?!
