I'm pretty sure i have hiv?

about six weeks ago, i had unprotected sex with a permiscous girl. oh yeah, and i had a sore on my penis from mastubating.

two days after, i developed a cough and fever. a few days after that, i got a very painful sore throat that lasted about a week and a half, accompanied by a rash of tiny red dots on my forearms. i also became very fatigued. throughout the first two weeks, the cough got progressivly worse, and continued getting progressivly worse until all ailments subsided (yesterday). after the sore throat and skin rash subsided, i got sores on my tounge and penis. the sores on my penis were on the shaft. there was about four of them, and they were a few centimeters both ways. also, on my inner thighs near my penis, i got a redish-purple rash that looked like streaks, and i once crap almost pure blood. at his time my cough's severity peaked and i became very fatuiged and had a fever, requiring two two hours naps in additon to nine hours of sleep.

i think i have hiv. this string of illnesses lasted about a month.

The only way to know is to go get tested. Until you do you won't know what is going on with your body. If it is HIV be sure you get a good treatment program set up.

Good Luck

Actually some of those symptoms that you have described are classes as PRIMARY SYMPTOMS TO HIV. Which for everyones information on here, shows up within 3 months of being infected. Most people with HIV actually pass these symptoms off as the flu.

But some of them aren't. Such as the blood in your stool.

I highly recommend you going to see a doctor. You could actually have something that needs treatment asap. Good luck

If it has been six weeks there is a great chance that HIV antibodies will already show up on any standard ELISA test. Go get one and find out for sure.

PS It sounds like you have the ebola virus or SARS, not HIV.

I don't think you do but would definitely see either your GP, or an internist to rule out any questions you may have. They will probably take some blood tests, urinalysis, and your vitals i.e blood pressure, etc..Let me know!!!!!

Get educated.
You dont have AIDS.

6 weeks? It takes a long time for symptoms of AIDs to show up.
It could be another STD though.

no way!!! u aint got no HIV and if u do u got it ALONG time ago and not from this girl it takes about 6mths to a year for this HIV virus to be known

Hello ! It takes longer than 6 weeks to get AIDS , Ya tool , chill out you HAVENT got AIDS

a blood test can tell you for sure. the local health department is cheap or maybe it's free.

What are the symptoms of HIV infection?

September 2004

How can I tell if I have HIV?

The first symptoms of HIV infection can resemble symptoms of common cold or flu viruses. The symptoms of early infection can also be similar to the symptoms of other sexually transmitted diseases and other infections such as "mono" or hepatitis, which are much more commonly and more easily transmitted. Stress and anxiety can also produce symptoms in some people, even though they do not have HIV.

Some people who contract HIV experience very strong symptoms, but others experience none at all. Those who do have symptoms generally experience fever, fatigue, and, often, rash. Other common symptoms can include headache, swollen lymph nodes, and sore throat. These symptoms can occur within days or weeks of the initial exposure to the virus during a period called primary or acute HIV infection.

Because of the nonspecific symptoms associated with primary or acute HIV infection, symptoms are not a reliable way to diagnose HIV infection. Testing for HIV antibodies is the only way to know whether you have been infected; however, the HIV antibody test only works after the infected person's immune system develops antibodies to HIV. During the "window period" between the initial infection and the period in which antibodies are detectable (which can be from 2 weeks to 6 months, but is usually 3 months), standard HIV testing is ineffective.

If you are concerned that you may have recently acquired HIV and have symptoms described above, see a doctor. A doctor or other health care professional can help determine whether you may be infected with HIV or another infection. If HIV infection is suspected, he or she may perform a Polymerase Chain Reaction (commonly called "PCR") test to determine whether HIV is present in the blood.

Once the primary or acute infection is over, most people do not experience any visible symptoms for another 8-10 years. Left untreated, the immune system becomes increasingly weaker and the disease progresses to AIDS. The next symptoms experienced by individuals infected with the virus are often associated with the "opportunistic infections" that target individuals with AIDS such as pneumonia, tuberculosis, and toxoplasmosis.
