Doctors & Nurses - Stomache Rash - Please Help ?

Here's what I've been going through:

Last 1-2 week I've been extremely sick, flu and coughs. I've been taking medicine for around 1 week then stopped.

It's been a week now after my sickness, I've gotten better just abit of cough here and there not so much and runny nose here and there and I stopped taking medicine since it's getting better, but I'm abit better than last week, but I found a rash on my stomache and it hasn't gone away it's been on my stomache for around 8 days now... it's not itchy, it's looks brownish blackish for some reason. Anyone know what caused this? Will I die? I'm scared. Sometimes I have diahrea and grumbling stomache dunno if it has to do with the rash or not.

Well this could be a number of things, but don't worry you are not going to die!

So, a few things, this could be due to a delayed reaction that medication you were taken.

The rash could be from a simple virus. Have you had symptoms like fever, chills, nausea or vomiting? Which you saying you were ill, explains alot :)

Another thing is that do you have any pets/animals? If you have and they have been near your stomach they can give you a rash.


Have you been exposed to any new places or anything new? Things like insects, dust, plants, detergent/washing up powder, certain fabrics, pets can cause small rashes.

Just watch it for another day and don't touch/scratch it, only bathe it in warm water, not too much soap. Also with the diorrhea and upset stomach, that could be from been ill, a virus or the medication.


If you have any other symptoms with it, pop and see your doctor.

But no, it's not harmful and you are fine
