Could I have possibly contracted HIV?

2 days ago I had unprotected sex with a girl I had just met a few days before. Before we had sex I had consumed a massive amount of alcohol. The next morning after waking up I noticed a rash on my chest but I am not sure if it was there before or after I had sex as I didn't pay attention when I was drunk. I have been taking benadryl for 2 days and the rash has all basically disappeared. I am just really freaking out b/c I read that a upper body rash is a sign of HIV but most places say it happens 2 to 4 weeks after you contract it and this was the next morning. Anyone have advice?

So if its not HIV are there any other STD's that could cause me to get a rash on my chest the morning after sex?

I would seriously doubt that the rash has anything to do with HIV, as you remain symptom free from it for several years.

Having said that, you may have been lucky this time, but having unprotected sex with a stranger, is an invitation to disaster.

If the rash reappears, see your Doctor, and tell him/her your fears, as there are a lot more STDs out there than AIDS.

And oh yes, SMARTEN UP.

There is no way you can break out in a rash in a few hours and have it be HIV. Wait 6 months, then see if you have any symptoms, then get tested for HIV..................Unless you want to go through this agony of not knowing whether you have acquired a fatal disease again , use a condom ALWAYS!!!!
