What are the inital symptoms of HIV that occur in the first two weeks of contact?

I haven't heard of signs in the first weeks of infection. As a matter of fact, I have had HIV for an unbelievable 25 years. I was infected 2 years before they came out with the test..which was not until 1985. I think the record is just 4 years more than myself. My tests all come back fine and I am still not on any HIV/AIDS meds...so that also tells you that it is not an automatic death sentence.

Some people get flu-like symptoms such as fever, headache, sore muscles and joints, stomach ache, swollen lymph glands, or a skin rash one or two weeks after exposure to the virus. Most people; however, have no symptoms at all. You might not know if you are infected with HIV. One way to know is to get tested .

none. most dont even know they got it until they get tested. thats what happened to one of my best friends.if you are concerned go get tested. there are thousands of places all over the US that offer them.

usually none. HIV can lie dormant anywhere from 6months to a year after initial infection
