I have some of the symptoms of HIV do I have it? |
I'm crying right now because I am so scared, I am going to be honest, I had sex with a man. But that was 7 months ago,I am just now having headaches, fever and I feel a little tired sometimes. How long does it take for someone to have all the symptoms of HIV? Because its been 7 months, and note that I haven't had sex with anyone since then. Do you think I have it? Hun, stop freaking out! just because you had sex with a man, doesn't mean that you caught it.Not all homosexual men are HIV +. I'm sorry to hear what you are going through, even thinking you possibly have a terrible disease is very very frightening and lonely. if you practiced safer sex with a condom, the chances are very low. Also, when a person contracts HIV, they often experience flu-like symptoms anything from 3 weeks to 3 months after exposure. Most people who have HIV have no symptoms for several years. Some people have flu symptoms within a few months after they get infected, but it is impossible to tell the difference between flu symptoms caused by HIV and flu symptoms caused by actual flu. The ONLY way to find out if you have HIV is to get an HIV test. If you are infected, it would show up on testing by now. Just go get tested. one thing that may be making you feel ill is the stress of not knowing. I will admit to you that I was with someone for a year and a half and only used a condom once. He cheated and I was under so much stress. But, I went to the docs and got tested and i was fine. You have to do this not only for yourself, but for future partners as well. I am sure you are fine though. If you arent super, super sick, it's just stress. go get tested. The only way to know for sure is to get tested. you need to go to the doctor and get tested |
