There are many signs and symptoms for HIV; however these are also signs for other illnesses. Just because someone has these signs DOES NOT mean they have the HIV virus, but they may want to get tested.

1. healthy person: 1-2 weeks
2. HIV infected person: can鈥檛 ever shake the cold (weeks, months, forever)
鈥?Women have reoccurring yeast infections
鈥?Night sweats 鈥?3-4 times a night; 2-3 times per week
鈥?Chronic Diarrhea 鈥?3-4 days per week for 3-4 weeks
鈥?Drastic weight loss鈥?20% loss of body weight in 1 month

Some people have HIV for many years and never show any signs or symptoms.

You should go get tested if you ever think you may have HIV. You may not have symptoms at first, but when you do you may experience weight loss, loss of appetite, fatigue, brittle nails, dry or unhealthy looking skin, or hair loss.

And to the idiot who said, "use protection", please go use your time elsewhere and realize that condoms do not prevent AIDS/HIV or other sexually transmitted diseases. Do this category a favor, and just think before you type. :/

I'll answer your question, even though I agree with everyone else here that you should get tested. The early symptoms of HIV are weight loss in someone who is eating normally, cracked nails, and hair being brittle or falling out, among a few other things. But truly, GET TESTED.
